Candy Cane Hearts ...


These candy cane hearts are easy to make. Unwrap your candy canes ( I swear this is the worst part as I tend to break them) and place on a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Heat at 225 for about 3-5 minutes. Gently squeeze the ends and top together to secure the two canes. And yes, you can patch a broken piece by melting it back together...

Place a 6 inch length of ribbon at the top. Using melted white chocolate (or milk or dark chocolate), carefully fill in your heart, making sure you secure the ribbon. While the chocolate is still soft, add sprinkles, sugar roses or whatever trim you like. Allow to completely set up for at least an hour. And that's it. They make lovely favors. Jacqueline
