Cookies-Christmas Nut Horns

I know I call these Auntie Clara's Christmas Nut Horns but in reality I make them all year. They are tiny, tender and a crowd pleaser. They also freeze very well and retain their crispness.
Christmas Nut Horns from Auntie Clara's Cookies and Sweets
2 sticks butter
2 cups flour
1 egg yoke
½ cup sour cream
Mix all together and form into balls about the size of a small orange. 6 balls. Chill.
Filling: 2 cups ground or heavily chopped pecans and walnuts. (though they are quite lovely with just one type of nut).
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ cups white sugar
Mix all together.
Powdered sugar for rolling.
Parchment paper or Silpats
Take a ball of chilled dough. Place on parchment paper that has been covered in powdered sugar. Flatten the dough with your hand and then sprinkle this with more powdered sugar. Roll into a round circle about 7 inches.. Sprinkle with a handful of the cinnamon filling. Pat filling into the dough.
Cut into 12 pie shaped slices. Roll each slice up jelly roll style. Tuck the ends underneath.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until lightly brown and the sugar has crystallized. About 12-15 minutes. In the Aga, use the baking oven rack. To freeze, though really Auntie Clara eats these right off the tray still warm, place between layers of parchment and put in an air tight container. Yield 36 cookies
